Gobindgarh Fort Amritsar
This fort was built in 1760 and was called at that time Bhangian Da Kila. Later on it was rebuilt by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It is a big fort and has a huge Toshakhana in the centre of the fort and can store sufficient grains for 12000 soldiers. It is square and has a circumference of 1500 meters. It has two strong gates, the majestic gate is known as nalwa gate after the Great sikh Warrior Hari Singh Nalwa.

Later Britshers added to it Hawa mahal,Darbar Hall and Phansi Ghar.General O Dier residence was just opposite to phansi Ghar and he got sadistic pleasure seeing hanging of patriots.
                                              
Bhatinda Fort
It is very old fort appox 1800 years old and belongs to Raja deb of 3rd century. The first woman rular razia begum (1234 AD) was imprisoned here. Patiala ruler Maharaja Karam Singh renamed it as gobindgarh. It is built in 15 acres and walls height at that time was 150 feet.

Faridkot Fort
This fort is believed to be built by raja Mokulsi and is constructed in 10 acres. It was reconstructed by Raja Hamir singh in 1775. Its beauty is in its magnificent architecture. This fort has Sheesh Mahal or House of mirrors and Moti Mahal. The main building is 12 feet high than the road and main gate for the security reasons. The huge building of Moti Mahal in the south of the entrance houses the offices of the Maharawal Khewa Ji Trust.
The 34feet wide and 90 feet long Darbar hall in the main building is built in such a way that it remains cool during the hot season also.

Quila Mubarak
Quila Mubarak was built in 1763 by Baba Ala singh, the founder of the Patiala dynasty. It was iniotially a mud fort which was lateron rebuilt in baked bricks by his ancestors. Quila Mubarak complex has many buildings inside it as Quila androon, Rana Basa, Darbar Hall, Jalau Khana, Sard Khana.

Bahadurgarh fort
Bahdurgarh fort is 6kms from Patiala and was built in 1658 by Nawab saif Khan. Maharaja Karam singh built the present quila in 1837. It has covered area of 2100 sq meter.

Anandpur Sahib Fort Ropar
Anandpur sahib Fort  stone was laid on march31, 1689 by Guru Gobind Singh ji. It was almost demolished by Ajmer Chand in 1705. Later a Gurudwara was built at the site of the fort.

Phillaur Ford Ludhiana
This fort belongs to town of Phillaur which was originated by Sanghera Jat Phul.

Palaces in Punjab
Summer palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh
This fort was constructed under the supervision of nobles of Lahore Darbar. It originally was built in a garden of 84 acres which was surrounded by a wall 14 feet high and a moat to safe guard.
The entrance of the fort called Darshani deori and is unique in design. This fort was the residence of Patiala dynasty and has several buildings inside it. Jail walla Palace, Moti Palace, Sheesh Palace and Rajmata Palace are few of them.

It was built in the reign of Maharaja Narinder singh (1845-1862).
